Things to know

Check-In

Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Because this is a gated, secured property, check-in is coordinated personally with your host, Michael. Contact him before your trip to arrange your arrival and receive detailed instructions. Please plan to arrive before 9:00 PM. Late check-in after 9 PM is available with advance notice (a fee may apply).

Check-Out

Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Before you head out, please take care of the basics: wash and put away any dishes you used, gather used towels in a pile, take trash out to the bins, remove perishable food, and turn off all lights, electronics, and appliances. Close and lock all windows and doors, and return your key to Michael or to the lockbox. Late check-out is available on request (fee may apply), and we can securely stow your luggage if you need a few extra hours before your pickup.

Lost keys are charged at $25 per key.

Early Check-In & Late Check-Out

Early check-in (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): $50 flat fee, subject to availability.
Check-in before 1:00 PM: Requires booking the previous night at a discounted rate.
Late check-out: Available on request; fee may apply based on timing and availability.

House Rules

This is a historic home in a quiet residential neighborhood, and we ask that you treat it with care.

No smoking anywhere on the property.
No parties, events, or gatherings of any kind. Violations result in immediate termination of your stay with no refund.
No unregistered guests. Everyone staying at the cottage must be listed on the reservation.
Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Our neighbors will thank you.
Report any damages before you check out so we can address them fairly.

The primary guest must be at least 25 years old to book.

Parking

One vehicle can park off-street on the premises at no charge, a rare perk for a New Orleans vacation rental. Additional vehicles park on the street; there is generally ample availability in this residential area.

Pets

Pets are welcome with pre-approval. Let us know about your pet when you book so we can make sure everything is ready for them. We are proud to be a pet-friendly vacation rental in a city where that is harder to find than you would think.
